Xena: Warrior Princess ran for six years, and arguably paved the way for today's strong female action hero (in shows like Witchblade and Alias). I was a member of the online fan community for three wonderful years, and wrote regular reviews of episodes as they aired. This archive collects those episode reviews and season summaries. The companion page collects other Xena (and Hercules) commentary that doesn't specifically pertain to episode or season reviews.

These reviews contain an acronym that may confuse some readers. YAXI stands for Yet Another Xena Inconsistency. The term was coined in the early days of the series as an easy way to refer to the way the series would contradict history, legend, and even its own continuity. It came to be a term of endearment among fans, and some fans kept track of them with an almost... perverse pleasure.
